Let's Get (of Fenris) With It!!!

Mocks the night comes trudging back to the rest of his pack with a disappointed look in his eyes. He let's out a heavy, exaggerated sigh and thrusts his hands into his pockets.
"Fine. We can see the Get first... However if we don't get to meet Claws of Silk because the Get kill us... the blame rest on you. I am innocent." He cracks a grin. "So how are we doing this? We just gonna waltz in together, or shall we all hide in your shadow Rends?" Even though Mocks is trying to joke, the fear is evident on his face. Probably part of the reason why he rather not meet with them unless they absolutely had to.

Hears-the-Song places a reassuring hand on Mocks' shoulder. "Calm down, my brother. We will have time to speak to Claws-of-Silk. Surely the Get are not foolish enough to attack non-hostile Garou in a caern where there are other packs and tribes willing to defend us if necessary. They are brash and we would be wise not to provoke them, but I want to believe they are not entirely foolish."

Zoe turns to Rends and nods. "Nevertheless, I think it best that Rends speak first, since he is one of them and has met this Roaring Jack character before, I believe. They are most likely to listen to him, where the rest of us are likely to be viewed as weak and not worth their time."

She lifts her chin and makes eye contact with the remaining Prodigals. "Weak in their eyes or not, however, we are a pack united and will stand strong together with our faithful ahroun, ready to act if necessary."

Zas looks up from the ground he'd been staring at since the party left Malchizadek as Zoe finishes.

Zas turns first to her and then to the rest of the pack as he asks, "You say this...but are you certain of it? Are we truly united?"

Zas says as he looks to the others, "My decision concerning accepting Malchizadeks offer has been made known as well as my reasoning. If however, Malchizadek does deem the rest of this pack as suitable for membership into the Sicarii, do you all have your minds made up as to your answer?"
He pauses momentarily to let each pack member think, before continuing, "What happens to this pack if some decide to join and others refuse? What happens when this pack is split into smaller units and sent to various places to strike at the Wyrm? How do we remain united if we are not together?"

Zas sighs and returns his stare to the ground. "Whatever the Get decide to do is up to them. Any consequences they decide to throw at us matter little to me when compared to the thoughts I have should this group decide to split apart or disband."

Zas' lip curls involuntarily as growls: "I say let the end of the world come! I think it would be better if it happened sooner rather than later. At least that way we all die together. Perhaps then the petty bickering among the tribes would lessen enough that they'd see the true threat before them and join in a united final assault."

Rends nods in thanks, looking apprehensive.

"Thanks, y'all. If'n I'm bein' honest I don't think Roarin' Jack will be the problem. It'll all come down to how much pull the Throat Tearers have 'round here, and how much they've been talkin' to the Get in Galveston."

He gives a significant look to Zoe.

"I never even got back in touch with the sept down there, so they probably assume I'm dead. But if Warbreath or any of them recognize me or Zoe from Galveston, it could be even more trouble."

He leans in, speaking quiet enough that only his friends can hear.

"Eric Warbreath may be a big stupid git, but he was Beta to Roarin' Jack's son. His word could carry a lot of weight around here. If he paints us as traitors or as bein' responsible for Frost Blood's death it could be trouble. On the other hand..."

Rends gets a hungry look in his eyes as he pops his knuckles.

"If he's been slanderin' our good name, we'd have no choice but to defend our honor. If I challenge him and beat him it could solve all our problems at once. It'd clear our name with the Get, put us in a better position here, and give us some leverage to influence the how things is handled around here."

He holds up a hand, heading off the objections.

"And before you say it, I know he has a Klaive. That ain't gonna be a problem though. These kinds of duels is usually not to the death, so I don't see him pullin' it. And even if'n he does, I reckon I could still take 'em. I got a couple tricks up my sleeve, even without my own fetishes."

He nods over towards Zas.

"And as for Malchizadeck, I don't see any problems there. Eaton's already joined them Rat feller Bone Gnawers, and they's dedicated to fightin' the Wyrm. I been sayin' all along that my biggest problem with how we's fightin' this war is that we ain't fightin' smart, and we ain't fightin' to win as a consequence. If they's a group of Garou out there willing to fight smart and take the fight to the Wyrm in a way that puts less strain on our recources, I'm all for it. If I can win the respect of the Get here and the Sacarii, that would bring the two groups together quicker than anything else could. We need to present a united front in the coming war. That won't mean we'll be pitted against each other or nothin', it jest means we'll be fightin' in ways that are right for the situation. 'Least that's my take."

Kefka nods slowly.
"I agree with Rends. I can really get behind the fighting style of the Sicarii. It's brilliant. Taking out the wyrm before he has a strong foothold here. We always talk about fighting smart, and well... this is genius. I don't think it would hurt/ disband the pack. He told us how they operate. Unless they use special rites or gifts we could leave now fighting how they do." He takes a deep breath, and looks around at his packmates, anger rushing to his eyes.
"What reason have they to slander our names? We have done nothing wrong. If we go in there tails tucked between our legs they will see that we accept guilt. We need to stand tall and proud, for we have done nothing wrong. The spirits will attest to that. I think we should all speak, if they plan on holding a farce of a trial. They may be counting on you Rends to do the talking, but they also saw you frenzy. They would use that fact to devalue your words. Same as you Leperfriend. However they frenzied as well. We could is that tactic against them. Also...who was closest to FrostBlood when he died? They were. One of them should have taken the blow for him, or pushed him out of the way. We could do nothing but watch, they could have prevented his death. By Gaia, i will look them in the eyes and tell them the same. We have done no wrong." Kefka is breathing heavy when he is done. The anger slowly leaving him, as he closes his eyes to relax.

Zoe turns to Zas and nods slowly.

"Though I like the tactics the Sicarii are using, I do not like the idea of separating from the rest of you. We are a pack, a unit, a team...a family. As much as is possible, I wish us to stay that way, though separating into smaller groups from time to time has proven beneficial in the past, so joining the Sicarii would not necessarily disband the pack."

Turning to Rends, Zoe shakes her head. "I wouldn't worry about the Get here caring much about me, though if my so-called fallen nature is brought up, the Throat Tearers certainly would not come to my defense after I used Weaver-born magic against their alpha when they first arrived in Perdido. Unfortunately, like Mocks said, if we go in there acting weak or guilty, then we haven't a leg to stand on. I will walk in there confident of my devotion to Gaia and the Garou nation and trust you, my brothers, to keep me safe if any trouble arises."

She shudders briefly at the thought of her pack mates going toe-to-toe with not one but three packs of angry Get.

Zas looks to each of the Prodigals and stares for awhile listening as they each speak in turn. He then looks to the area they were headed and says, "Though I hope our presence among the Get of Fenris here goes by without complications, I highly doubt that will happen. They respect strength and strength alone. I feel that they may indeed likely expect us to enter their space with our heads hung low out of regret or remorse. In most other cases entering in such a way would show respect and honor, however in this case, doing such may actually serve as a form of dishonor to the fallen's memory."

Zas turns back to the pack, and clenches his hands into fists "In any case, we must discover what has been said, and rectify any falsehoods. We will force them to hear us out."

"As for the matter of the Sicarii, I think we can discuss it further if necessary after we have more information to discuss."

Zas then turns to Eaton and says, "You have not spoken since we left Malchizadek. Do you have any wisdom or words to share?"

As Eaton listened to the rest of his packmates, his gaze drifted across the group. When Zas addressed him directly, his eyes refocus on the Philodox as be says, "I reckin' I do: I think we oughta go in all at once and project that air of confidence. I'm certain they can smell out fear and it's best not to show it." His gaze lingers on Mocks for just a moment longer before he continues, "We might just havta roll with some of the punches: even if we try and make our case who are they gonna believe, their own warriors or some ignoble cliath who follow Coyote? Course, we dunno what they're gonna do till we meet 'em again."

His looks at Rends with a slight hint of worry in his eyes as he says, "And I might wanna think twice on any sorta challenge: Duels sometimes are the best way to resolve our differences, but I've heard of Garou who lost themselves in the blood-drenched moment and slew their foe. And you're tribe isn't exactly known for bein' gentle in battle. A higher-up might think they should teach that pup a deadly lesson on questionin' them."

Eaton opens his mouth for the matter of the Sicarii, though his eyes narrow in consideration at Zas as he begins, "Do you really wish for the end? It would take our problems along with it, yes. But would it not also take from us what we fight for? End the lives of those who have no knowledge of the Wyrm and its twisted forces? While I know it's gonna come eventually, I fer one would rather fix what I've got with the time I have."

His eyes lose their tension as he continues,"Speakin' of which, I don't think joinin' up with the Sicarii would cause us to break apart. As Mocks said, I'm a member of the Swarm and I'm still hangin' out with ya'll. I'm pretty sure he would just give us some leads on what we ought to be doin' to tear the guts of the Wyrm."
