Kefka watched as his pack retreated from the Van Dorn homestead towards the Fianna lodgings. He didn't blame them, the trip to visit Grandfather Thunder tired him out too. The night was not over though, and he had work to do. Kefka leaned against the front of the Van Dorn place sipping from his flask while waiting for Hard Rain to leave. He had appeared eventually.

"Hard Rain... I know I may be the last person you want to spend time with tonight, but I need your help. As it is with my current strength I can't fulfill my duty to Grandfather Thunder. I am young and there are many things I do not know, especially about my own tribe. Would you be willing to teach my how to summon a Stormcrow? I think it would be advantageous to have one when I go West to hunt the Masks."

Kefka shuffles bows his head towards Hard Rain and shuffles awkwardly waiting for a reply.

"Thunder grants power to the worthy. I will call. The stormcrows will answer."

The brutish black wolf tossed back his head and howled. There were the words of spirits interwoven amid the wolf-cries: oaths, threats and ancient claims of authority. Within moments a streak, like a bolt of jet lighting, tore down out of the sky. Before Kefka and Hard-Rain stood a large bird, feathers the color of midnight, static buzzing around it like an invisible cloud, making the two Garou's fur stand on end.

The creature bobbed its head to both Shadow Lords in turn. "Barthos of the flock of Grandfather Thunder answers. What is thy bidding?"

Mocks bows his head in thanks towards Hard Rain before speaking to Barthos.

"Evenin' old friend."

Mocks took his hat off and bowed towards the storm crow throwing a bit of gnossis in its direction.

" I was hoping you would be willing to teach me how to summon one of your kind. It would be beneficial for completing the task set before me by Grandfather Thunder. What say you?"

"Grandfather Thunder's mission, and your ultimate fate, are of great personal interest to me, Kefka Woodsman's son." The distant grumbling roll of thunder underscored Barthos' words. "I would ask that I act as your guide and emissary. Whatever doom awaits you, and our tribe... I wish to be there to see it."

The large crow twisted its head and fixed the Ragabash with a beady eye. "I have one condition, however: that you be both cunning and decisive. The hour grows late, I fear, and if you are called upon to make any grave choices, I implore you face them free of doubt. This is not to say that you should rush headlong into danger or darkness; but the time for indecision is past."
